Hell In A Cell: Nikki Bella vs Charlotte (C)

Hell In A Cell: Nikki Bella vs Charlotte (C)

My prediction was correct and Charlotte retained her Divas Championship. Although I wouldn't really care which way it went, I think it's about time for Nikki to have a reasonably long break, and permanently leave the title picture. If I'm honest, I didn't go into this PPV expecting much from the divas, but once again, they proved me wrong. I can't think of a main roster divas match this year that has even come close to this one, which is why I think it's a good note to end Nikki's participation in the title picture. This was 100 percent Nikki's best match to date, and I can't think of a reason to keep her as a focal point after this. The match went on for a good 10 minutes and was fast paced, but they also incorporate some impressive spots into it, which added to the intensity.

As for where the storyline will go after this, I would guess it will go in a direction with Paige and Becky, solely based upon the celebration after the match. I think they're definitely saving Sasha for Mania, and aren't likely to push Naomi, so that's where I think it will go. We've also still got the storyline with 'who attacked Natalya' and I'm really hoping they're smart with this and go for a Becky heel turn. Becky has had a somewhat, lackluster main roster experience so far, and I think a change of character is definitely needed, so maybe this is what will push into the title picture. But realistically, they'll go for the obvious option, and Paige will be the attacker.
As I previously said, I was so impressed with this match, and both women carried themselves flawlessly. Nikki has proved herself as a wrestler this year, and no body can say she can't wrestle. I will give this match a score of 9.5/10.

Hell In A Cell Predictions: Nikki Bella vs Charlotte (C)

Hell In A Cell Predictions: Nikki Bella vs Charlotte (C)

Tonight we have Nikki Bella vs Charlotte for the divas championship, and honestly it could go either way. There are many reasons that would point to Nikki winning the title back tonight, however I just can't see Charlotte dropping it this soon. Charlotte's reign so far has been beyond disappointing, but I still have hope for her to turn it around by starting a new feud. I am predicting that this match will get around 15 minutes, and will end by Charlotte making Nikki tap out.

Nikki could also easily win it back tonight, as her winning it would make her one step closer from removing AJ from the records, but I just don't think Charlotte, being a Flair, will have a reign so short.

Raw, NXT, Main Event and Smackdown

The first match we got on Raw was yet another tag team match. This match started slowly, but definitely picked up towards the end. I particularly liked the chemistry between Sasha and Alicia, and I thought that Nikki under performed this week.

On the whole, I am enjoying this little feud they have going on. I like the fact that they are capitalising on the Sasha chants, and building a storyline around it. I think it was the right move to make. I will give this match a score of 7/10.

Next up was Brie vs Charlotte again. I feel like we've seen this match almost every week and it doesn't get any better each time. There was nothing memorable about this match and I didn't care for it at all. It was just another predictable win for Charlotte.

I will give this match a score of 6/10.

NXT:

Alexa Bliss vs Peyton Royce: 6/10
Billie Kay vs Asuka: 7/10

Main Event:

Diva Freak Weekly Roundup: Raw, Main Event, NXT, Smackdown, Top 5

Raw: Nikki Bella vs Naomi, Alicia Fox and Brie Bella vs Charlotte and Becky Lynch

This week on Raw we had two divas matches, the first being the former divas champ taking on Naomi in one on one action. This match was short and forgettable, and primarily centered around a rest hold. However, the fact that there was some sort of storyline development out weighed some of the negatives. I am really enjoying this whole feud between Team BAD and Team Bella, and I think there will be a few unexpected turns out of it.

I will only give this match a score of 5/10.

Next was Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Charlotte and Becky Lynch. I honestly thought this match was a mess. It was pretty short and Alicia didn't even get to tag in. I'm glad it sort of furthered the weak storyline, but the fact that the divas champion was pinned after a drop kick is quite difficult to ignore.

I will give this match a score of 3/10.

We also got an amazing promo by Summer Rae. There was absolutely nothing negative to say about it, and I'm so glad they have more faith in her, and I'm fully expecting her to be a focal part of the division in 2016.

Main Event

Naomi and Tamina vs Brie Bella and Nikki Bella- 8/10

NXT

Nia Jax vs Evie - 4/10

Smackdown

Charlotte vs Alicia Fox- 5/10

Top 5

5. Natalya
4. Bayley

NXT Takeover: Respect, Main Event, Smackdown and Weekly Roundup

NXT Takeover: Respect, Main Event, Smackdown and Weekly Roundup

Once again, my WiFi broke this week, which is why I am summarizing all of last weeks wrestling into one post. Last week was a monumental week for women's wrestling and it was a great time to be a supporter of the product. Not only did we witness the first ever Iron-woman match in WWE history, it was also one of the longest and best womens match I have ever seen.

Of course there is absolutely no doubt that this match scored 10/10 for me.

Naomi vs Paige: 8/10

Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Natalya vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox: 7/10

Top 5 Divas Of The Week

5, Summer Rae
4. Paige

Raw: Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Sasha Banks, Tamina and Naomi, Natalya vs Paige

Raw: Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox vs Sasha Banks, Tamina and Naomi, Natalya vs Paige

This week on Raw we got Team BAD vs Team Bella once again. Yes, it was a good match, but what did it do for the story? I am so bored of these constant tag team matches, that add nothing to the progression of the story. Sasha picked up the victory again, and I'm not sure whether it's because it was in her hometown, or if they actually plan on putting her in some sort of match for Hell In A Cell. It's almost as if they're not sure who they want to push, or what they want to push them for, they just know they want them to stay relevant. There are other ways this can be done. Have Team BAD feud with other divas? Keep Nikki vs Charlotte separate, and have Sasha in a segment with someone that she can actually feud with, and further a storyline with. Yes, Sasha was great on the mic on Raw, but we all know that it won't lead to anything and to put it bluntly, it was a waste of time. There's no point in putting something on TV that won't lead to anything. It's just a shame that it couldn't have been Sasha and someone else in a segment.

The match was pretty good. There were a few noticeable botches, more than usual I might add, however the match overall was decent. This was another extremely slow paced match, and once again Sasha got the hot tag and won. All the women in this match are capable of putting on a better showing that what we got and it's just a shame they don't get to prove it. However, once again this match got a great amount of time, which is something the divas revolution has really changed, although there's still the ever growing issue of the lack of storyline development on a week to week basis. Taking into account the botching and the lack of story telling, I'll give this match a score of 6/10.

On Raw we also got Paige vs Natalya, in what I would class as a very good match. I love the dynamic these two have, and the chemistry is just crazy. The only negative thing I can say is that this match wasn't saved for Hell In A Cell. This mini feud definitely could have ended at a PPV, and there is still a possibility of that happening, but I honestly just can't see it. This is probably the only real storyline that is going on right now, and it's slowly fizzling out, so I'm not really sure what's going to happen next with Nattie particularly, but I would loooove to see Nattie get a title shot.

I really enjoyed  Paige's heel work in this match, and she reminded me why I was such a fan in the past. I will give this match a score 9/10.

We also got a segment involving Summer Rae. Summer is still doing amazing in this role and I'm so thankful that she's still being pushed as Rusev's valet, and now I guess it's just a waiting game for Lana to return and have her match against Summer.

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

This was a pretty average week for the divas in my eyes, although it is only classed as average compared to the recent standard. We got three decent matches this week, and although they lacked storyline development, they all served their purpose and entertained us. Below is a recap of this weeks matches, and the scores I gave them.

Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox: 6/10
Emma and Dana Brooke vs Peyton Royce and Billie Kay: 7/10
Sasha Banks, Tamina and Naomi vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox: 7/10

As you can see from the above list, the matches this week were relatively good, however as I said before, they all lacked storyline development. Yes, we had the involvement of Natalya on Raw, but what did that really do for the storyline? We already know the situation with Nattie and Paige from the Smackdown segment, and this involvement did nothing but repeat that revelation, just in a different way. the NXT match was impressive, but again lacked any sort of storyline. Peyton and Billie are pretty much still the nameless jobbers they were before, as they have no character and are still yet to win a match. Finally, the Smackdown match was another impressive showing, but once again there was no story told at all. This is something the writers URGENTLY need to work on, because I know I'm not the only one getting tired.

5. Paige

This week Paige didn't win any matches, however she was involved in the tiny amount of story telling that was told throughout the week, which earns her a spot in the top 5.

4. Natalya

This week Natalya also didn't win any matches, but has recently been added into the mix of relevant divas, and was involved in the match on Raw.

3. Sasha Banks

This week Sasha pinned the former divas champion, Nikki, on Smackdown, This was a big win for Sasha and could possibly put her in the title picture.

2. Nikki Bella

This week Nikki defeated the Divas Champion, Charlotte on Raw. Although she is already the number one contender by default, this gives her more momentum running up to her inevitable title re match.

1. Dana Brooke

Dana has quickly become one of my favourite NXT divas. I wasn't all for her originally, but this girl is such a great heel, it's difficult for me not be a fan. I absolutely love her mic work, and her attitude and she instantly catches my attention when she talks. Even though her ring work is still a bit stiff, she is clearly improving at a fast pace, and I love watching her on NXT. It was announced this week that she will be facing Asuka in her debut match at NXT Takeover: Respect. This is a big opportunity for Dana, and the only question is, is she ring ready enough for the match? That's a question only she can answer, and we'll all see soon enough. I really hope she proves all the doubters wrong.

Smackdown: Team Bella vs Team B.A.D

Smackdown: Team Bella vs Team B.A.D

This week on Smackdown, we got yet another 6 divas tag team match. The fact that these matches are getting such a large amount of time is great, but they all just blur into one pointless match. They're showing absolutely no direction of Storyline, and not only Smackdown, but on Raw too. It's obvious that they want Team B.A.D to stay relevant, but also don't want them in the title picture, which means they have to slot them in whenever they can, alas, these endless tag team matches. At the moment, it's difficult to decipher what direction they plan on going for Hell In A cell, as Paige is a clear contender, there's Sasha, and now there's Nattie. On top of that, there is the possibility of getting Paige vs Nattie, and therefore it could be a Triple Threat involving Sasha, Charlotte and Nikki. I would be happy with having those two matches, but ideally I would like Naomi to take priority over Sasha, but clearly that's not likely.

So, this match was technically good, but I'm just so bored of these matches that have no relevance to any kind of story. It's getting very boring. It's so frustrating because there are so many different things they could do. The match itself was impressive. There was a good dynamic between slow and past faced maneuvers and the match flowed nicely. Based on that, and the time it got, I'll give the match a score of 7/10.

After the match there was a brief backstage segment between Charlotte, Becky and Paige. It was very short, but at least it developed some sort of story, although I don't like the heel Paige we've been seeing recently, and it's definitely not what I, along with most people were anticipating.

NXT: Emma and Dana Brooke vs Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

NXT: Emma and Dana Brooke vs Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

This week on NXT we got a backstage segment and a four divas tag team match. The backstage segment was used as a way of announcing that Dana Brooke will take on Asuka at the next live special. I liked the first part of the segment, (even though Emma's attempts to be heel were beyond cringey), however the second part seemed a bit weird to me. They were watching a video of Asuka training, but it went on for quite a while, and all the audience could see was their faces. It was a bit awkward. It would have been fine for a few seconds, but it went on for about 20.
Immediately after, came the match. Peyton and Billie were already in the ring and Dana and Emma had separate entrances. I really like Dana's entrance, and I really liked her gear/ next came out Emma, and I also love her gear. Her entrance needs a bit of work, but she looks like a great heel, it's just the talking that brings her down. The match got a good amount of time, and I was pretty impressed by all of the women involved. They all worked very well together, and I loved that it was fast paced.

I really liked this match. It was fast paced and got a good amount of time and therefore I will give it a score of 7/10.
