Raw: Miz TV Segment, Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox

Raw: Miz TV Segment, Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox

On Raw this week we had a great Divas segment, followed by a six divas tag team match. Charlotte and Becky began the segment with The Miz, which was followed by the inclusion of Team Bella and Paige. It was always common knowledge that Charlotte wasn't the greatest on the mic, however recently she has shown a substantial amount of improvement, which is always well received. Becky Lynch is also a pretty good talker, and the two are definitely capable of carrying a segment. Nikki Bella was also decent on the mic this week, however once again she was over using the "You know what.." line, but that;s easily ignored. Paige is another diva that is pretty good on the mic, and I enjoy the change in her vocabulary and tone as a heel. The segment ended in a brawl, which lead into a 6 diva tag team match after commercial.

Next up, the team of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch faced off against The Bella Twins and Alicia Fox. This match got a decent amount of time, and was quite fast paced, however I thought it was lacking something. Nothing about that match stuck in my mind, other than the fact that it consisted of basic move after basic move, and constant tagging in and out. I liked Natalya's involvement, and I liked the ending but I just thought that the overall match could have been constructed better, and could have been a better showing for the divas. In all honesty, I think the majority of fans would rather see Team B.A.D involved in this feud over every other team, yet they are constantly put in the back burner. Team B.A.D are the hottest team right now, and striking whilst the iron is hot would mean adding at least one team member (preferably Naomi) into the title match at Hell In A Cell. I honestly don't understand the logic in setting the most over Team aside, but that's WWE for you. At this point, I firmly standing behind my prediction that we will get Charlotte vs Nikki Bella vs Paige vs Natalya at Hell In A Cell, with either Charlotte or Nikki coming out on top. Although I don't mind this idea, I would much prefer to see, maybe a six pack challenge, or something else that we haven't seen in a long time.

Although this match was long, it was not the type of match I really enjoy, and therefor I will give it a relatively low score of 6/10.

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

This has been another good week for the divas. We had a return from Natalya, a heel turn from Paige and a few good matches. Here's a recap of this weeks matches and their scores:

Charlotte vs Brie Bella- 6/10
Naomi vs Natalya- 7/10
Eva Marie vs Carmella- 5/10
Naomi, Tamina and Sasha Banks vs Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox- 8/10

5. Naomi

This week Naomi got a pinfall victory on Raw, and also was on the winning team on Main Event.

4. Charlotte

Charlotte got a one on one victory on Raw against Brie Bella and was also involved in two good segments this week.

3. Asuka

This week Asuka made an impactful NXT debut and has got everyone hyped. I am expecting great things from her.

2. Natalya

This week Natalya made her return to TV and had a match against Naomi on Raw, after a backstage segment with Paige. Nattie was also involved in a great in ring segment on Smackdown.

1. Paige

This week Paige finally turned heel and has freshened up her stale character. This was definitely a good decision by creative, and now hopefully I can begin to be a fan again.

Thank you for reading.

Main Event and Smackdown: Team B.A.D vs Team Bella. Divas Segment

Main Event and Smackdown: Team B.A.D vs Team Bella. Divas Segment

On Main Event this week we got a great six divas tag team match. It got a very good amount of time and was one of the est tag team matches I've seen in a while. When the Bella's are finally out of the title picture, it would be nice for them to maybe feud with Team B.A.D. I'm fully expecting it to be Nikki vs Paige vs Charlotte at Hell In A cell, however I am really hoping for either Sasha, Naomi or Nattie to be added. It would be nice to have some new divas fight over the belt, as something fresh is well needed. This match was very impressive, and really showed each character individually. One thing that I did see as a negative thing was the fact hat Nikki didn't really act as if she had just lost her title. It would have been nice, in my opinion, if she was maybe intentionally more aggressive in her match to show her anger/frustration over her loss.

I will give this match a score of 8/10.

On Smackdown we also got a very good divas segment between Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Paige and Natalya. I am so happy Nattie has gotten involved in this storyline , as it should have happened months ago. I'm still hopeful that this will lead to Nattie being involved in the title match, but I'm not going to expect anything. So, it looks like Nattie has possibly replaced Paige in team PCB? Well, I don't really mind either way, as long as Nattie remains on TV.

Thank you for reading.

NXT: Carmella vs Eva Marie, Asuka Debut

Main Event, NXT and Smackdown

This week on NX, Eva Marie and Carmella faced off once again. Each of the two women and improving each time we see them, however I'm still not that behind the idea of Eva becoming a part of the womens championship picture. I am hoping she stays in NXT for a decent amount of time, even though I feel like they are going to rush her up to the main roster as soon as possible, but I really don't see her fitting in with the likes of Bayley and Sasha in the Women's championship matches. If anything. she'll bring down what the NXT women made of the female division. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely beginning to warm to Eva, I just think she should stay where she is in the pecking order for a while.
So, this match was pretty good, but not great. Eva is still stiff in terms of selling, however she is definitely getting better at offence. Carmella also continues to improve week after week, however unlike Eva, she continues to be ignored.

So, overall I definitely see improvement, even if there is still a long way to go. I will give this match a score of 5/10.

Also on NXT this week we had Asuka's debut. The segment was pretty good and I'm looking forward to her in ring debut. I was actually quite impressed with Emma on the mic this week, and of course Dana did a great job. I am really starting to warm to these two, however I still think Emma would be better as a face.

Raw: Natalya vs Naomi, Charlotte vs Brie Bella, Natalya's return and Paige's heel turn

Raw: Natalya vs Naomi, Charlotte vs Brie Bella, Natalya's return and Paige's heel turn

So this weeks Raw was a stacked one for the divas. Firstly, we got a great segment from our new Divas Champ Charlotte. With her dad present, Charlotte made a typical babyface promo, thanking her dad, Becky Lynch and eventually Paige. Charlotte says that she's followed in Paige's footsteps and went on to say how Paige was idol etc. This lead to a fully expected heel turn by Paige. I must say, I was very impressed with Paige's mic work here. She called Charlotte a place holder and Becky irrelevant, before insinuating the Bella's success was due to who they're sleeping with. So, overall it was a definitely a great segment, and I think this was definitely the right thing to do with Paige's character.

Next up. Charlotte took on Brie Bella in a pretty good match. I found it to be too slow for my liking, and I got a bit bored half way through. It was very similar to the match on Sunday. Very focused on the leg, and submission based. Of course, Charlotte picked up the victory.

As I already said, I found this match quite tedious, and therefore I will give it a score of 6/10.

On Raw we also got Natalya vs Naomi, in what I thought was a great match. It was so nice to see Nattie on TV again, and it's great to see that it looks like she's getting involved in a storyline. Nattie and Naomi have always had great chemistry, so to no surprise, this was a good match.

I thought this match was very good, and I'm looking forward to seeing Nattie more often. I will give this match a score of 7/10.

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

This was a pretty good week for the divas. We got a new divas Champ, a record was broken, and we had a few good matches. Below is a recap of this weeks matches, and their scores:

Sasha Banks vs Paige: 8/10
Charlotte vs Nikki Bella: 9/10
Bayley vs Sarah Dobson: 5/10
Sasha Banks and Naomi vs Paige and Becky Lynch: 7/10
Charlotte vs Nikki Bella: 9/10

5. Paige

Paige didn't really do all that much this week, but clearly all of these losses are leading up to something, and I, along with most people, believe it's a heel turn. Paige definitely needs some sort of revival, and this possible heel turn should hopefully give her what she needs to work with.

4. Sasha Banks

This week Sasha got a win over Paige again on Raw, and also participated in a very good segment with Bayley on NXT. It was also announced that the two will face off in a 30 minute iron woman match for the Womens Championship, at the next Live Special.

3. Bayley

This week on NXT Bayley defeated Mary Dobson, in a decent match. It was also announced that should would defend her title against Sasha Banks at the next Live Special in a 30 minute iron woman match.

2. Nikki Bella

This week Nikki became the longest reigning divas champion of all time, and also had two killer matches. She may have lost her title, but she definitely proved herself to be a worthy champion.

1. Charlotte

So of course Charlotte is my diva of the week. Charlotte had two amazing matches and became the divas champion on top of that. Charlotte may not have been my first choice to beat Nikki, however I think she will take the title into the right direction.

Night Of Champions: Charlotte vs Nikki Bella (w)

Night Of Champions: Charlotte vs Nikki Bella (w)

Last night we crowned a new divas champion, and hopefully this will begin a string of new challengers and feuds. Nikki has improved substantially in the ring over this last year, and has been the main focus of the divas division, but some fresh faces in the title picture is something I, along with most fans, would like to see. Charlotte wouldn't have been my first choice for this win, and I certainly think this should have hapened at the next PPV, but I will not look at it as a negative thing. Charlotte is clearly good in the ring, however her character is still lacking for me. Hopefully she can feud with someone who can substitute for her lack of character, such as Naomi or Sasha Banks. For me, I would love to see Naomi take the belt from Charlotte. Ideally, we could get Nikki vs Charlotte vs Naomi at Hell In A Cell, and have Charlotte go on to face Naomi after that.
The match we got last night was very psychological and really highlighted Nikki's ability to work on a specific area. Charlotte sold the injury very well, even to the extent of some people thinking it was legit. The overall match was very impressive, I must say. It may have been slow paced, but there was great storyline told during it, which is amazing, considering they've had very little storyline to work with. Although, I didn't like the fact that Charlotte got little, to no offence and got the stereotypical babyface win, which a lot of people don't like. I think the match could have been a little more equalised in order to get a good, steady speed, rather than the choppy, constant slow pace Nikki took it in. Even with that said, the match was definitely one of the best of the year, on the main roster at least, and both women should be very proud.

So, tonight on Raw there are many possibilities on what could happen, but personally I'm not expecting anything extravagant. A Paige heel turn is still definitely on the cards, and Nikki's rematch could take place, but I'm expecting Charlotte to get a singles win, in a decent length match against Naomi, or Alicia, just to put her over as champ.
Overall, I thought the Divas Title match was very impressive, and therefore I will give it a score of 9/10.

Thank you for reading.

Night Of Champions: My Predictions

Night Of Champions: My Predictions

Tonight we have one of the most highly anticipated divas matches of the year, Charlotte vs Nikki Bella for the Divas Title. Now honestly, I'm not exactly super excited for this match, because either way, the outcome won't be something I particularly want to see, however I am fully expecting a very good, lengthily match. This match hasn't exactly had a long build up, or even much of a storyline, but for some reason, the crowd are definitely more behind the divas right now, than they have been for the last couple of years at least. That is definitely a positive thing, however I know, and most diva fans know, that they could do a lot better. The matches lately have been great, but matches aren't the only aspect that needed working on. The girls need mic time in order to establish a character and to get over with the crowd, which is why I'm so surprised that the crowd cares, because in all honesty, I, as a divas fan, am not really interested. Frankly, the girls haven't gotten nearly enough mic time. There's no excuse for it, as Charlotte, Nikki, Alicia, Paige and Becky are all decent talkers. To be a feud, the two competitors need to have solid characters, and a reason for their hatred of one another. Neither of the two women have a character and neither have really interacted all that much. It's as if they've just picked Charlotte out of the bunch, and just thrown her into the match, which is why I firmly believe that Nikki will not be dropping the title tonight.
Nikki has just broken the record, and this match doesn't really hold any importance, and either of the women winnng wouldn't really be a big deal, so I feel like if they are going to make the Charlotte th next champion, why rush it? Why not build her up in a feud with actual meaning over the next few months? I see Nikki holding on to the title until Survivor Series, and possibly having the addition of Paige and Sasha into the matches. Possibly a fatal fourway or triple threat.
Now that we're onto the topic of Paige, I'll address what I think her involvement will be in tonight's match. I believe that Paige will cost Charlotte the match, turning heel. However, I'm not fully sure of this. This mini feud with Sasha, and her constant losses could easily be suggesting a heel turn, but on the other hand, could be leading to a PPV match against Sasha.

So. my final prediction is that Nikki Bella will successfully retain her title, after an involvement by Paige that will lead to a disqualification. I am expecting the match to be around 15 minutes long.

NXT and Smackdown: Bayley vs Sarah Dobson, Becky Lynch and Paige vs Sasha Banks and Naomi

NXT and Smackdown: Bayley vs Sarah Dobson, Becky Lynch and Paige vs Sasha Banks and Naomi

This week on NXT Bayley defeated Sarah Dobson in quite a short match. I will give it a score of 5/10.

On Smackdown we got Sasha Banks and Naomi vs Paige and Becky Lynch, which carried on the storyline of Paige constantly loosing, and becoming frustrated. I will give this match a score of 7/10.

Thank you for reading.

--@DivaFreakk

Raw: Sasha Banks vs Paige, Charlotte vs Nikki Bella (C)

Raw: Sasha Banks vs Paige, Charlotte vs Nikki Bella (C)

This week on Raw we once again saw Paige being beaten by Sasha, however this time it was a clean win. I'm still not exactly sure where this is going, but I'm leaning more towards the idea that Paige, frustrated, will cost Charlotte her match on Sunday. Although the Paige and Sasha PPV match is still very much a possibility, we have already seen the match 4 or 5 times, and I guess having it all tie together would be quite interesting. Paige turning heel is definitely a positive thing, but I hope it doesn't mean she'll be in the title picture again. Even though Charlotte would be far from my first choice, she is a better alternative to Paige, who has been in the title picture constantly since her debut. Charlotte winning the title would actually make her the first person in over two years to hold the title, that isn't AJ Lee, Paige or Nikki Bella.
Once again, Sasha va Paige was a very good match. Sasha won again, and Paige definitely seems to be getting more frustrated each time. Hopefully this is last time we see them go one on one in a while, because there are a lot of match combinations that haven't happened yet, that I would like to see.

I will give this match a score of 8/10.

Next up was Charlotte vs Nikki for the title. This match was very good, and it's definitely got me excited for their match on Sunday. Obviously Charlotte lost the match, meaning Nikki Bella is now the longest reigning divas champion of all time, so congrats Nikki.

I will give this match a score of 9/10.

Thank you for reading.

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

This was a pretty average week for the divas. Here is a recap of this weeks matches:

Sasha Banks vs Paige: 9/10
Carmella vs Peyton Royce: 5/10
Dana Brooke vs Billie Kay: 5/10
Sasha Banks vs Paige: 8/10

So, on Raw we got Paige vs Sasha Banks in a very solid match. We also got a segment with Team Bella and Team PCB, announcing that Nikki will in fact defend her title next week on Raw, rather than at Night Of Champions. Also, Summer Rae cut a promo extending her storyline with Rusev, Dolph and Lana. On NXT we got Carmella vs Peyton Royce and Dana Brooke vs Billie Kay, in two average matches. On Smackdown we got Sasha Banks and Paige in a rematch which ended in a brawl.
So, I would call this a pretty good week in women's wrestling. Charlotte and Nikki will be facing off on monday and it looks like Sasha and Paige have begun a new feud. One thing I have noticed is that Nikki has barely wrestled over the last few months, and with her being the champion it's a bit disappointing. Next week I would like to a great match on Raw, more extensions in storyline with Paige, Sasha and Summer and a new match announced for Night Of Champions.

5. Dana Brooke

This week Dana won a match against Billie Kay, and had a pretty good backstage segment with Devin Taylor. I'm beginning to really like Dana, and I'm seeing improvements constantly. She is definitely getting her character together, and I see big things for her.

4. Charlotte

This week Charlotte didn't wrestle, but it was announced that she will be getting a title match on Raw. She cut a decent promo with Nikki at the beginning of the week and is going into the match looking very strong.

3. Summer Rae

Once again, Summer Rae killed it this week. She cut a great promo on Raw, and is still a big part in the storyline. It's a shame that Lana is injured, but it looks like it hasn't effected Summer's push.

2. Paige

This week Paige wrestled twice against Sasha and both matches were of a very high standard. Paige and Sasha seem to be in a mini feud, and it's quickly getting more intense. The brawl on Smackdown was one of the best diva brawls I've seen in a long time.

1. Sasha Banks

This week Sasha won her match on Raw against Paige and began a new feud with her. Sasha is always consistent in the ring and is still very over with the crowd.

Smackdown: Paige vs Sasha Banks

Smackdown: Paige vs Sasha Banks

This week on Smackdown we got another great match from Sasha Banks and Paige. Even though it's becoming repetitive, the consistent good matches that are being churned out by this mini feid can't be anything but positive.
The match began with Tamina, Naomi, Charlotte and Becky being forced to leave ringside after a mini brawl. Once the bell rung the match began promptly with Paige spearing Sasha and going for the pin, in which Sasha kicked out at two. Paige then went for a roll up, and Sasha kicked out at one. Next came a backslide from Paige, which Sasha kicked out from at one again. Sasha then reversed this and went for a backslide herself, which got Paige down for one. Sasha then threw Paige into the ropes, and Paige went for a unset flip, which got Sasha down for a one count. Sasha then received a knee to the face, which got her down for one. Sasha then rolled out of the ring for a breather, but received a rolling senton from Paige. Paige then threw Sasha back into the ring, but received a kick to the head, knocking her off the mat.
After commercials we get back into the ring with Sasha in control. She smashes Paige's face into the turnbuckle and gives her three kicks to the stomach. Sasha then pulls Paige from the corner and pins her for a two count. Sasha then chokes her on the bottom rope and then goes for the double knees. Paige kicks out at two. Sasha then locks in a choke hold on Paige, and slams her on to the mat. Paige again kicks out at two. Sasha then takes Paige to the corner again, throwing her face into it, and choking her her with her foot. Paige kicks out at two. Sasha locks in another choke hold. Sasha then threw Paige into the corner, but ended up running into an elbow, leading to Paige taking control, with a knee to the face and two superkicks. Sasha kicked out at two. Sasha then slapped Paige across the face, leading to a huge brawl between the two, ending the match with a disqualification. All of the team members come down to the ring, along with two refs to help break them up. This was a great segment.

As I said on my Raw review, I love the fact that their is a second divas feud, and I do believe this feud will get a PPV match. On monday I made a bold prediction that these two will be fighting over the returning Women's Championship, and I am sticking to my guns. I think this revolution is finally going to properly take action, and hopefully change women's wrestling in WWE permanently.
I will give this match a score of 8/10.

Thank you for reading.

--@DivaFreakk

NXT: Carmella vs Peyton Royce, Dana Brooke vs Billie Kay

NXT: Carmella vs Peyton Royce, Dana Brooke vs Billie Kay

This week on NXT we got Carmella facing a 'debuting' Peyton Royce. We all know that Peyton is Cassie, so telling us that it was a debut was kinda insulting to our intelligence, but I guess as WWE fans, we're used to it. I think the match was pretty good. Carmella is still pretty green, but she is making gradual improvements, and Peyton is pretty strong in the ring. It would've been nice to see Peyton finally get a win, now that they are acknowledging that she has a name, so hopefully that will happen at the next tapings. I thought the match overall was pretty average. The pace was very slow, and at times got boring. I think keeping a good match flow is something they will both learn over time.

I really like Carmella's new way of gettig into her submission hold, however I still think the submission looks very weak, and I think she needs to find something else. I will give this match a score of 5/10.

We also has Billie Kay vs Dana Brooke, which was another pretty good match. Dana has improved immensely over the last few months, including on her character and her mic skills. Her backstage segment with Devin was a bit rusty, but still great for how new she is. Dana is becoming one of my favourite NXT divas, and I think 2016 will be a big year for her. Dana has quickly become one of the front runners of the division, and I would say she's definitely stepped up since the top three left.

I thought the match was quite good. Dana looks very comfortable in the ring now and Billie is, like Peyton, pretty strong in terms of in ring work. It's nice to see Billie actually being acknowledged and having an entrance and I am looking forward to see where she goes from here. I will also give this match a score of 5/10.

Thank you for reading.

Raw: Sasha Banks vs Paige, Charlotte and Nikki Bella segment.

Raw: Sasha Banks vs Paige, Charlotte and Nikki Bella segment

So this week on Raw we only got one divas match. I'm still not used to that having one divas match is unusual now. It's crazy. But carrying on, we got Paige vs Sasha Banks again. I get that they're starting this side feud, but there are so many combinations of matches that we still haven't had, and to make Paige and Sasha face off for the third time (and fourth time on Smackdown this week) is kinda lazy. On a good note, I definitely think the two are developing some chemistry, which they seemed to have lacked in their first match.
The match went on for quite a while, and was getting pretty loud crowd reactions, which is always great to hear. It looks to me that Paige won't actually be turning heel on Charlotte, unless perhaps these two feuds intertwine and end in a fatal four way for the title? Maybe at hell in a cell?
Anyway, I thought the match was very good and I think these two mesh very well together, especially after all the practise they've been getting. As far as this 'mini feud' goes, I'm expecting it to possibly get a PPV match, maybe at Hell In A Cell, but also I was thinking of the possibility of the women's championship being brought back. WWE recently posted a survey on which retired title should return, and it included the women's. Plus, I think if it's going to happen at anytime, it would be now. I would love to have Sasha and Paige clash over the women's title, but I wouldn't really like either of them to hold it for the time being. I think that title is perfect for Nattie. I would love to see Nattie vs Sasha for the Women's title.

I was very impressed with this match, to no surprise. Paige is definitely upping her game as of late and Sasha is still excelling. I will give it a score of 9/10.

We also got a short divas segment, mainly featuring Charlotte an the Divas Champion, Nikki Bella. Alicia and Brie also got mic time. One thing I can say about the divas revolution, is that they are definitely getting more mic time, which is great to see. Based on the segment, we now know that Nikki will be facing Charlotte for the divas title next Monday Night on Rsw, which means we currently have no match announced for Night Of Champions, but I imagine the Bella's will somehow screw Charlotte over, resulting in her getting a rematch. We all know that there's no way Nikki isn't beating the record, so I'm not particularly bothered about next weeks match. I honestly don't even see Nikki loosing it at Night Of Champions. I could even see her reaching 365 days, which would take her to around survivor series time. At this point, it's very difficult to determine who will be taking the title from Nikki, but I think my guess would have to be the obvious, and I'll say Charlotte, who will go on to feud with Sasha, which is something I definitely don't want to see.

So, at the moment I am predicting we will get Charlotte vs Nikki at Night Of Champions, with Nikki retaining. I will also make a bold prediction that we will get Paige vs Sasha Banks in a stipulation match for the women's championship at Hell In A Cell.

Thank you for reading.

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

Diva Freakk Weekly Roundup

This was a jam packed week for the divas, with some high and low points. We has a total of 7 matches this week, which may be a new record. Below is a recap of this weeks matches.

Becky Lynch vs Alicia Fox: 5/10
Charlotte vs Brie Bella: 3/10
Sasha Banks vs Paige: 6/10
Alexa Bliss vs Blue Pants: 4/10
Eva Marie vs Billie Kay: 5/10
Sasha Banks and Naomi vs Paige and Becky Lynch: 8/10
Charlotte vs Tamina: 5/10

So. as you can see the standard of matches this week weren't great. The three matches on Raw were unreasonably short, but at least the beat the clock challenge gave us something new. The NXT matches all involved newer wrestlers, which is understandable. The match on Main Event was very good, and the match on Smackdown was too short.

5. Naomi

Naomi really impressed me in the tag team match this week. She is improving leaps and bounds as a heel and I believe she should be one of the girls closing in on the title at this point. Naomi is definitely being over shadowed at the moment, but hopefully when the revolution dies down a bit, she will get more of a chance. I particularly love how great Naomi and Sasha work together. It's refreshing to see such great chemistry in a tag team.

4. Becky Lynch

This week Becky Lynch is my number four. On Raw, Becky participated in the first ever divas beat the clock competition. She may not have won, but that's an achievement on its own. Along with Naomi, Becky also really impressed me in the tag team match on Main Event.

3. Paige

This has been an exciting and busy week for Paige. Appearing on 3 shows, Paige participated in a great tag team match, the first ever divas beat the clock competition, and teased a heel turn. I feel like this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Paige.

2. Charlotte

Charlotte is the third diva that competed in the beat the clock challenge, which in the end, she won. This means Charlotte is the new number one contender, and will be facing Nikki Bella for the divas title. It looks like this match will now take place before Night Of Champions, probably on the Raw before. I personally think it's far too early for Charlotte to hold the title, but WWE are clearly insistent in pushing her quickly.

1. Summer Rae

This week Summer Rae is my number one diva, for reasons that don't need to be explained. Summer is KILLING it. I am in love with this storyline, and I honestly think Summer over shadows Lana weekly, which is crazy. The storyline extended this week, but with Lana now injured, I don't know how far this will go on. I can only hope that Summer remains in a steady position.

Thank you for reading.

Smackdown: Tamina vs Charlotte, Miz TV

Smackdown: Tamina vs Charlotte, Miz TV

This week on Smackdown we got a backstage segment, a match and an in ring segment with Lana and Summer Rae, so quite a lot of divas action to get through.
Firstly, the backstage segment was pretty cool. We got Paige, Becky and Charlotte talking with Renee backstage about Charlotte becoming the new number one contender, which was interrupted by team Bella, who once again brought up Nikki breaking the record. The segment ended with Charlotte announcing that she has petitioned to the Authority to get her title match before Nikki breaks AJ's reign. This lead into a one on one match between Charlotte and Tamina, which was.... decent. The match was very short. I liked how Tamina was portrayed during the matches, however her constant jobbing status takes away from the 'monster' image she tries to make. I liked the match psychology, but there wasn't really much wrestling to report on, but I was glad to see Charlotte using the Natural selection again.

This match was once again nothing special, but it could have been sloppy or botchy, which Tamina is famous for. Tamina actually seems to be improving which is good. So overall, I'll have to give this match a score of 5/10.

Next we had a great segment with Summer Rae and Lana. I loved this so much and this feud is getting so interesting. Summer is so funny and such a great heel, it's just impossible not to like her. I really like how Summer is trying to get between Dolph and Lana and I found it a really interesting twist in the storyline. I know that Lana is now injured, so I don't know how this will affect the story, but obviously this means Lana won't be in the ring anytime soon, which is a shame. Hopefully they can manage to carry the story on without Lana getting physical.

Thank you for reading.

Main Event: Becky Lynch and Paige vs Sasha Banks and Naomi

Main Event: Becky Lynch and Paige vs Sasha Banks and Naomi

This week on Main Event we got a four divas tag team match, which got a good amount of time. I actually really enjoyed this match. I loved how long they kept Becky isolated and I also loved the teamwork between Naomi and Sasha. The result of this match further enforced my belief that Paige will turn heel and cost Charlotte the title. To me, it looks as if Charlotte's title match will happen before the PPV, so we may possibly get Nikki vs Charlotte vs Paige at Night Of Champions, which I would be okay with. At this point though, I honestly think that Charlotte is not ready, character wise, for the title. She doesn't need it right now like others do. I would really like Naomi to be the next in line after Nikki, but I don't see it for her. Lately I've been so impressed with her in ring work and character, and I think she is definitely in her prime, and she certainly doesn't deserve to be out shined by the NXT girls.
I thought we got a very good match this week, and the fact that it seemingly added to the possible story was a bonus. All four women worked well, but Paige is still under performing. I feel like she is slacking because of how much the company was behind her in her first year, and she feels like she doesn't need to try hard anymore. Paige definitely needs to up her game because the NXT girls are out wrestling her and getting bigger crowd reactions. I think a heel turn would definitely add my life to her in ring work, but I feel like a month without Paige on TV would be beneficial to everyone. It would give more girls opportunities, help Paige work out a new character and give the viewers a well deserved break from her.

I was definitely impressed with the match this week. I will give it a score of 8/10.

NXT: Blue Pants vs Alexa Bliss, Eva Marie vs Billie Kay

NXT: Blue Pants vs Alexa Bliss, Eva Marie vs Billie Kay

This week on NXT we got two divas matches and neither were anything special. The first match we got was Alexa Bliss vs Blue Pants. This match was nothing memorable. It was a short, bland match and I really didn't enjoy it. Alexa is doing such a great job as a heel but I'm just not really feeling this whole Blue Pants feud. Blue Pants is obviously not signed with WWE and isn't a permanent fixture within the divas division, so it's nice to see her getting some sort of spotlight, however I think this spot could possibly be better for a signed, up and coming diva, like Gionna, Billie Kay or Peyton Royce.
The match itself consisted of basic maneuvers and lasted for only about 4 minutes. Alexa, overall is impressing me as a heel, particularly with her mannerisms, however, being still so new to this role, she has a lot of work to do with her moveset as a heel. I definitely see something special in Alexa and I feel like within the next year she will get the Sasha Banks treatment and improve immensely, thus becoming the new top dog of NXT once Bayley moves up. Alexa has the tools to succeed and she is well on her way.

To no surprise to anybody, Alexa came out on top in this match and defeated Blue Pants. As I've already said, I was not very impressed with the match, but I accept the fact that Alea needs time to become a great heel, in and out of the ring. I will have to give this match a score of 4/10.

Okay, so the second match we got was Eva Marie vs Billie Kay and honestly, Eva is getting better. I was very harsh with her last time, because in my eyes, she's been under performing as of late, but in this match she looked more comfortable than she ever has before. To say this match was good would be a definite overstatement, but it's an iprovement, and that's what NXT is for. The fact that the commentary was even entertaining the idea that Eva Marie is a threat to Bayley was hilarious, but as long as she doesn't get a title push then I'm fine with her gaining momentum.

So, the match wasn't technically good, but an improvement is better than nothing, so kudos to you Eva. I will give this match a score of 5/10.

Raw: Becky Lynch vs Alicia Fox, Charlotte vs Brie Bella, Paige vs Sasha Banks

Raw: Becky Lynch vs Alicia Fox, Charlotte vs Brie Bella, Paige vs Sasha Banks

So Raw this week was pretty interesting. We had the first ever Divas Beat The Clock challenge, but to say it was underwhelming is probably an understatement. I really like the idea of having this new stipulation, but the matches really didn't have to be that short. We could have gotten three, six or seven minute matches, but the times we got were not only unrealistic, but extremely predictable. I'm honestly okay with Charlotte going against Nikki. She wouldn't have been my first pick, but at least the title is being defended. I can see the title match going either way, but I'm definitely expecting a heel turn from Paige, and I am so ready for it. I've never liked Paige as a face. Too boring. But heel Paige is the Paige I loved. I really miss the creepy character she had in the AJ feud, and I feel like over the last few months she's lost a lot of what made her interesting, and she definitely needs to be re-packaged. I can also see Paige costing Charlotte the match, or attacking her after she's won the title. I'm okay with the heel turn, but a Charlotte and Paige feud is something I can live without. I would prefer Charlotte to just lose cleanly and let Naomi pick up the title at Hell In A Cell. Maybe Paige and Charlotte can start a side feud, but I would prefer the title to stay out of it.
So, the first match we got this week was Alicia Fox vs Becky Lynch. We all knew what the outcome would be, which made me lose interest half way through. I thought the match was unnecessarily short and I was really hoping for Becky's opponent to be one of the girls that we haven't seen in a while, like Nattie, Emma or Cameron. I thought that was definitely a missed opportunity.
On to the match. I can't say it was bad, but it was nothing special at all. After just watching it for a second time I can't think of anything I liked about it. There's not really much to say. It felt like a step back in the whole 'revolution'.
Before the match Nikki Bella cut a promo about becoming the longest reigning divas champion, and introduced the 'Bella Tron'. I thought this was a pretty cool idea and I can't really bash Nikki's mic skills. Her promos are always boring but she isn't particularly bad.

Overall, I will have to give the match a low score of 5/10.

Next up was Charlotte vs Brie Bella. Once again, the outcome was obvious, the match was too short and Charlotte should have had a different oponent. I know for a fact that Emma was backstage. We've seen this match a number of times now and I think it was only common sense to have one of the other divas job to Charlotte. This match, again was unnecessarily short and made Brie look weak, but I am glad to see Charlotte using the Natural Selection again.

This match had very little wrestling and it definitely didn't do anything for me. I will give it a score of 3/10.

Finally, we had Paige vs Sasha Banks, which we saw only a couple weeks ago. I had the same problems with this match as the other two, however out of the three, this was the best. It was fast pace and it actually told a story, that being that Paige was desperate to pin Sasha as quickly as possible. Throughout the match there was a sense of urgency, which I liked.

Overall, even though this match was short, I was impressed. This was the first match in a while where I have been entertained by Paige, which hopefully means she's working her way back to her usual standard, and hopefully she's turning heel. I will give this match a score of 6/10.

We also got Lana and Summer Rae this week. I have been so impressed with Summer. She has really taken this role and run with it. I loved that this storyline has ventured out of the PG zone and it was really giving me attitude era vibes. It was awesome. Lana, to me, has got a tad stale. I don't like her as a babyface to be quite honest, and it's like this isn't the Lana we grew to love. It's as if all of her personality has been completely reset, and she's lost all of her fire and become a timid little girl. I don't like it at all.
